Alpine Chicken Casserole

Ingredients

4 cups chopped cooked chicken

2 cups celery slices

2 cups toasted bread cubes

1 cup salad dressing (Miracle Whip)

½ cup milk

¼ cup chopped onion

1 teaspoon salt

Dash of pepper

1 package (8 ounces) swiss cheese slices, cut into thin strips

¼ cup slivered almonds, toasted

Directions

Combine ingredients except nuts, mix well. Pour into 2-quart casserole; sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Makes 6 servings. Can be prepared ahead, covered, refrigerated, and then baked for 50 minutes. Uncover, continue baking for 10 minutes.
