
16 slices white bread
4 cups cooked chicken
1 large onion chopped
1 large green pepper chopped
1 cup celery chopped
1 cup mayonnaise
1 ½ tsp salt
Dash pepper
3 eggs, slightly beaten
3 c milk
2 cans mushroom soup
1 cup grated cheese
Dry out bread in oven. Make crumbs of 4 slices. Dice rest in 1 inch cubes. Place half of these in a 13x9x2 pan, ungreased. Combine next 7 ingredients. Spoon over bread cubes. Place remaining cubes over chicken mixture. (Dee note: layer it - bread cubes, chicken mix, rest of bread cubes) Combine eggs and milk and pour over top. Cover - chill 1 hour or overnight. Spoon soup over top, combine grated cheese and crumbs. Sprinkle over al land bake 325 for 1 hour.
