
1 lb lean pork or veal, diced
2 tbsp shortening
2 tbsp soya sauce
¼ tsp salt
1 cup beef bouillon
1 cup chopped onions
2 cups thinly sliced celery
1 can bean sprouts, drained
1 tbsp cornstarch
¼ tsp ground ginger
1 tbsp molasses
¼ cup water
Brown meat in shortening. Add soya sauce, salt, bouillon. Cover and cook until meat is tender. Add onions, celery, bean sprouts. Cook 10 minutes. Blend cornstarch, ginger, molasses, water. Add, and stir until thickened. Serve over chow mein noodles, with soya sauce. Serves 4.
