Don’s Ground Beef and Cabbage Casserole

Ingredients

1 lb gr beef

1 large onion - chopped

1 tsp oil

Salt and pepper to taste

½ cup raw rice

1 19oz can tomato sauce

1 small head cabbage - chopped

Directions

In medium skillet brown beef and onion in oil. Drain off fat. Add salt, pepper, and rice. Mix well. Stir in tomato sauce.

Place chopped cabbage in a buttered 9x13 pan or large casserole dish (with a cover). Pour the meat mixture over the cabbage. Bake covered at 325 for 1 hour. Uncover and bake an additional ½ hour. Serves 4 or 5.
