
2 ¼ cups lukewarm water
2 pkg dry yeast
1 ½ tsp salt
½ cup white sugar
1 egg
¼ cup shortening
6 ½ cups sifted flour
Do NOT knead. Mix well, let rise 20 minutes and form into rolls.
Let rise 1 ½-2 hours. Bake at 400 for 15-18 minutes or until golden.
Put any leftovers in refrigerator and cover with damp towel. It’s good 3-4 days.
