
1 ½ pounds ground beef
¼ teaspoon garlic salt, or 1 clove garlic, minced
¾ teaspoon salt
Pepper to taste
1 tablespoon sugar
2 cans (8 ounces each) tomato sauce
1 package (3 ounces) cream cheese
½ cup sour cream
Onion to taste
8 ounces fine noodles
American cheese
Brown beef; add seasonings, sugar and tomato sauce. Simmer for 15 minutes. In another bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream and onion. Cook noodles according to package directions. In buttered casserole, place ¾ of the noodles; top with meat mixture. Spread cheese mixture over meat. Top with remaining noodles and grate american cheese over top. Store overnight in refrigerator.
Bake in 325 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Serves 6 to 8 people. May be made in morning and baked for supper.
