Mom’s Peach Jam (Elsie)

Ingredients

20 small peaches (or 16 large)

2 oranges, peeled and chopped

7 cups sugar

Maraschino cherries (if desired)

Directions

Peel and chop peaches.

Add oranges and sugar.

Cook 45 minutes to 1 hour or until thick.

Use a medium flame, stirring constantly.

Put in jars and add melted paraffin wax.

Or

Put in jars with screw cap and store in freezer.

Makes 8 jars
