Oil and Vinegar Dressing

Ingredients

1 ½ cups salad oil

½ cup red wine vinegar

1 ½ teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon basil

2 garlic cloves, crushed

½ teaspoon sugar

¼ teaspoon pepper

Directions

Combine all recipe ingredients in a jar with tight-fitting lid; shake vigorously until well combined. (May be prepared in advance to this point. Cover the jar and let stand at room temperature 2 days)

Makes 3 cups.
