Overnight Fruit Salad

Ingredients

1 cup milk

3 T sugar

4 egg yolks, beaten

1lb (2 ½ cans) pears - cut up

1lb (2 ½ cans) pineapple rings - cut up

1 can white cherries

1lb miniature marshmallows

Slivered almonds

Directions

Cook milk, sugar and egg yolks in double boiler until mixture coats a spoon. Cool.

Sprinkle fruit with lemon juice to prevent darkening.

Beat 1 pint whipping cream until very stiff, fold custard mix in and then add fruit and marshmallows.
