
1 ½ lbs ground beef
1 cup onion, chopped
1 cup celery, sliced and cooked only till barely tender (NOTE: I use more - 2 cups)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can chicken rice soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
½ cup uncooked rice
3 tsp soy sauce
1 ⅓ cups liquid (from celery and peas) - as needed - add gradually
1 cup peas (add them the last ½ hour if desired)
Brown ground beef and onion together. Drain grease. Add remaining ingredients. Chow Mein noodles on top (Put on during the last ¼ hour of baking).
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 ½ hours. Put cover on for first ½ hr.
Makes a large casserole, about 2 ½ qt size.
