
Dissolve 1 pkg Knox gelatin in ¼ cup cold water
Heat 8 oz pkg cream cheese in 1 can cream of shrimp soup until cheese is melted
Stir gelatin into soup mixture - then cool
Stir in 1 cup mayonnaise and 1 can shrimp
½ tsp salt, chopped celery and onion to taste
Pour into oiled mold or a bowl.
Chill until set. Make a day ahead
Crab Spread
Same basics as shrimp except use:
1 can crabmeat, 1 can mushroom soup, ⅛ tsp curry powder
