
1 pound raw shrimp
½ stick butter or margarine
¼ cup cooking oil
1 clove garlic, crushed, or ½ teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons lemon juice
½ teaspoon salt
Dash cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Turn oven on bake and set temperature at 400 degrees to preheat. Rinse shrimp; remove shells, leaving tails on. Wash under cold running water. Drain; pat dry. Melt butter in a 13-by 9-inch baking dish or pan. Add oil, parsley, garlic, salt, cayenne and lemon juice; mix well. Add shrimp and carefully stir in butter to make sure shrimp are coated. Bake at 400 degrees for 9 to 12 minutes. Using tongs, remove shrimp to platter. Pour garlic mixture over all or serve in a pitcher to be poured by individuals. Recipe can easily be doubled. Serves 2 to 3
