Caramels

Ingredients

2 ¼ cups white sugar

1 cup white karo syrup

1 ½ pints whipping cream

1 tsp vanilla

1 chunk or paraffin wax the size of a walnut.

Directions

Mix sugar, syrup, and ½ pt cream. Boil to 230. 

Take off burner and add ½ pt cream then boil until 230.

Take off burner and add ½ pt cream then boil until 241.

Add 1 tsp vanilla and paraffin wax. Mix.

Pour into buttered pan (9x13). Cool in refrig till cold and set. Cut and wrap in waxed paper.
