
2 cups sifted enriched flour
¾ (crossed out and 1 handwritten) cup sugar
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
1 (crossed out and ½ handwritten) teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon soda
1 cup coarsely cut cranberries
½ cup chopped california walnuts
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
1 beaten egg
¾ cup orange juice
2 tablespoons salad oil
Sift together dry ingredients; stir in cranberries, nuts and orange peel. Combine egg, orange juice and salad oil; add to dry ingredients, stirring just till moistened. Bake in greased 9 ½ x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan in moderate oven (350) 50 minutes or till done.
Check at 50 min with toothpick.
