
1 cup flour
¾ cup sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup milk
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup nuts (optional)
1 cup brown sugar
¼ cup cocoa
1 ¾ cups hot water
Mix first five ingredients in a 9 x 9 inch pan. Mix in milk, oil and vanilla with a fork until smooth. Stir in nuts and spread mixture in pan. Top with brown sugar and cocoa. Pour hot water over batter. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Let stand 15 minutes. Serve over vanilla ice cream.
