
¼ cup crisco (or butter or marj)
½ tsp salt
1 Tbsp grated lemon peel
3 cups powdered sugar
1 Tbsp lemon juice
3 Tbsp water
Combine crisco, salt, lemon, 1 cup sugar, and food coloring if desired. Add lemon juice, water and remaining sugar alternately; mix until smooth and creamy. Add more sugar to thicken or water to thin.
Frost 2 8-9” layers or a 9x13 cake
