Marge Petersen’s Fruitcake

Ingredients

2 lbs dates

10 oz maraschino cherries

1 lb whole brazil nuts

1 lb whole walnuts

3 Tbs butter

1 ½ cups sugar

½ tsp salt

2 cups flour

1 tsp baking powder

4 eggs

½ cup cherry juice

1 tsp vanilla

Directions

Mix all ingredients in large bowl. 

Line a greased 9x13 pan with brown paper and grease the sides.

Bake at 275 degrees for 1 ½ hours.

Cut crosswise in 6 strips.
