Norwegian Oatmeal Macaroons

Ingredients

Makes about 5 dozen cookies

1 cup butter

1 cup sugar

1 beaten egg

1 cup coconut

½ cup chopped almonds

1 cup flour

1 ½ cups oatmeal

¾ teaspoon almond extract

1 teaspoon baking powder

Directions

Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in egg. Add all remaining ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Flatten with glass dipped in sugar. Bake in 350-degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
