
Makes 5 dz
1 cup shortening (2 sticks margarine) -crossed out and butter added
1 cup brown sugar - firmly packed
1 cup white sugar
2 beaten eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 ½ cups flour
2 ½ cups quick oatmeal
½ cup nuts
Mix ingredients together and roll in balls or drop from spoon and press down. Raisins and/or chocolate chips may be added if desired.
Bake 10 or 12 minutes at 375 degrees.
