Prune Bread

Ingredients

1 pound prunes - soaked overnight in water, drained (save some of the water) and chopped

2 eggs - beaten

2 cups sugar

¾ cup shortening - melted and cooled

2 cups water - from the prunes

5 cups flour

2 tsp soda

1 tsp salt

1 tsp each cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves (note: I use ½ tsp of cloves)

Directions

Blend above then add the chopped prunes and 1 cup broken walnuts.

Bake at 350 in 

2 greased bread pans - 1 hour or more

Or

4 smaller loaf pans - 1 hour or less
