Robinson’s Pie Crust

Ingredients

3 cups flour

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup plus 2 ½ tablespoons Crisco

1 egg

2 tablespoons vinegar

5 tablespoons ice water

Directions

Combine flour and salt in bowl. Cut in Crisco until particles are the size of peas. Combine egg, vinegar, and ice water and add to flour mixture. Mix until all is moistened. Divide into fourths to make four 9-inch pie shells. Roll out each on lightly floured board.

For single crust pie, bake crust in 425 degree oven for 12 minutes.
