
1 cups butter - soft
⅓ cup thick cream
2 cups flour
Cream well. Chill. Use a small amount of dough at a time.
Roll on pastry cloth - ⅛” thick. Use a 1 ½” cookie cutter.
Dip each cookie in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet
Prick each cookie with a fork 4 times.
Bake in 375 oven until light brown (about 10 min)
Put 2 cookies together with filling.
Filling:
¼ cup butter
¾ cup powdered sugar
1 egg yolk (handwritten note: I don’t use the egg yolk)
Vanilla
Beat together well. Store in refrigerator.
